Making A Door Less Open, the new album from Car Seat Headrest and the first set of brand-new songs since 2016's Teens Of Denial, is set for release on May 1. The album will be available on vinyl and CD featuring distinct tracklists and mixes for each format. Created over the course of four years, Making a Door Less Open is the result of a fruitful 'collaboration' between Car Seat Headrest, led by Will Toledo, and 1 Trait Danger, a CSH electronic side project consisting of drummer Andrew Katz and Toledo's alternative persona, 'Trait.' To realize this, the band recorded the album twice: once live with guitars, drums and bass, and once in a MIDI environment using purely synthesized sounds. During the mixing process, the two approaches were gradually combined using elements of each, with additional overdubs.

Taken from the highlights of 9 different shows in March and April of 2002 and clocking in at over 2 hours, the resulting 4 LP collection One Nite Alone�Live! was the first official live album of Prince�s career and the 27 tracks included feature selections from The Rainbow Children as well as Prince�s extensive back catalog, played with the full NPG as well as several solo piano excursions (�When U Were Mine,� �Raspberry Beret,� �Adore,� �The Beautiful Ones,� �Nothing Compares 2 U�). This release marks the first time that it�s available on vinyl.

Billy Preston - "Encouraging Words" [Gold LP] Billy Preston's fifth studio album, Encouraging Words, was released in September 1970 through Apple Records. It marked his second and final project for the Beatles' label before signing with A&M Records. Co-produced by Preston and George Harrison, the album featured the first released versions of Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" and "My Sweet Lord," appearing two months ahead of Harrison's own recordings on his landmark triple album, All Things Must Pass. Preston's take on "My Sweet Lord" was issued as a single and reached #90 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1971, though the album itself did not chart in the US or UK. While commercially overlooked, Encouraging Words has since been praised by some critics as one of Apple's strongest non-Beatles releases. Presented on limited edition gold vinyl through Dark Horse Records.

Billy Preston - "That's The Way God Planned It" [Purple LP] Billy Preston's fourth studio record, That's The Way God Planned It, came out in August 1969 on Apple Records. The release arrived shortly after his work with the Beatles and was produced by George Harrison. It's title song became a chart success in the UK. The album also featured contributions from Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Doris Troy. Presented on limited edition purple vinyl through Dark Horse Records.

Neil Young - Tonight�s The Night 50th Anniversary Deluxe Limited Edition In 1975, Neil Young released Tonight�s The Night, an album that is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces in his catalog. The album was recorded in 1973, following the major success of his album Harvest, but it was not released for two more years. The album is dedicated to two of Neil�s close friends, Danny Whitten and Bruce Berry, who both died in the year before this album was recorded. Recorded on analog tape, Tonight�s The Night includes some of Young�s most brilliant and emotionally moving songs. In addition to the two versions of the title track, the album features �Borrowed Tune�, �World on a String�, �Mellow My Mind�, �Tired Eyes�, �Come On Baby Let�s Go Downtown�, "Albuquerque� and �Roll Another Number (For The Road)�. For the 50th anniversary edition of this album, Young has replaced �Lookout Joe� with an unreleased version, also from the original album sessions at SIR studios in 1973. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Tonight�s The Night, the album has been expanded with six additional songs. The versions of �Walk On� and �Tonight�s The Night [take 3]� have never been released. �Everybody�s Alone�, �Raised On Robbery� (featuring Joni Mitchell) and �Speakin� Out Jam� were included on Neil Young Archives Vol. II, and the version of �Wonderin�� has only been available to stream on NYA. None of the bonus tracks have been previously released on vinyl. Tonight�s The Night 50th Anniversary Deluxe limited edition will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally. It was a simple idea; to create a festival out of all the brilliant music and art made all over the world, stuff made outside of the mainstream – music that wasn’t getting on the radio and was even harder to find in record stores… … the very first WOMAD Festival took place at the 240-acre Bath and West Showground, Somerset over the weekend of 16–18 July, 1982. With the dream ‘not to sprinkle world music around a rock festival, but to prove that these great artists could be headliners in their own right’, the three days and five stages played host to 60 bands from over 20 countries; a line-up that included The Drummers of Burundi, Pigbag, Salsa de Hoy, Simple Minds, Musicians of the Nile, Echo and the Bunnymen, Prince Nico Mbarga, Rip, Rig and Panic, The Beat and many more… “I remember this gig well,” says Peter Gabriel. “We played a mix of old and brand-new material. I would normally be very nervous about playing some of this stuff for the first time, however my mind was very preoccupied with the running of our very first WOMAD festival and the potential financial disaster that it was heading towards. Because WOMAD was unique in its focus on music and art from around the world, and mixing it with up with rock and jazz, no-one knew how many people might turn up and we had seriously overestimated our appeal. But those that had decided to check out WOMAD and its weird and wonderful lineup were open-minded, bold and curious - a great audience. It was a landmark and edgy gig for me both personally and musically and brings back lots of memories.” Across the three days ‘an evening concert series’ took place in the Showering Pavilion on the festival site. On the Friday night that concert featured Tian Jin (a song and dance troupe from China), Simple Minds and, with a ‘special festival set of non-album material’, Peter Gabriel. Live at WOMAD 1982 is a recording of that Friday night concert. The non-album material in question are seven of the eight songs that would make up the album Peter Gabriel 4. An album that wouldn’t be released for a further two months. On-stage, Peter is joined by David Rhodes (guitar), John Giblin (bass), Larry Fast (synthesisers). Jerry Marotta (drums), Peter Hammill (guitar, vocals) and “the wonderful Bristol-based drum and dance group,” Ekomé (drums, percussion). “We wanted to show that wherever you were born, whatever colour or language, whatever religious or sexual persuasion, powerful passionate and joyful work would have a warm welcome in WOMAD. At the beginning, most music industry professionals told us that we had no chance of making this dream work, we had all the wonderful naïve misguided optimism of the young, and were convinced that we would prove all the cynics wrong. However, at the end of the first festival, it was clear we had an artistic success, but not a financial one… but that’s for another story.” Peter Gabriel’s Live a WOMAD 1982 takes us back to not only the birth of a festival – one that has now hosted more than 160 editions in 27 countries - but also to the premiere of an album with songs, like The Rhythm of the Heat, San Jacinto and Shock the Monkey, that have become central to the Gabriel canon. More than just a live album, Live at WOMAD 1982 is a pivotal moment, available now on CD and LP for the very first time.

�If we could go back and tell ourselves how much was going to happen to us after that record, what would we want to celebrate?� asked Laura Lee, bassist, vocalist, and founding member of the band. Instead, they thought: �Let�s do it again.�

The Universe Smiles Upon You ii was recorded on January 4-6, 2025, in the same family barn of guitarist Mark Speer, across the same dates where TUSUY was first conceived ten years earlier. Though the conditions were the same�dirt floor, brutally cold, minimal sound isolation, all takes live�the songs aren�t. On �Ricochet,� the third album from Snail Mail coming March 27th 2026, Lindsey Jordan returns to assert herself as a generational songwriter, clear-eyed and honest as ever. Time has passed, but she remains a sensitive soul, and here her incisive introspection is tethered to newly expansive and hypnotic melodies and ornate string arrangements. While writing �Ricochet,� Jordan found herself fixating on concerns she�d previously pushed out of her mind, namely death and what happens after. Jordan�s early music largely dealt with matters of the heart, a territory that she tried to step beyond on �Ricochet.� �Misery feels safe to write about because I am good at it,� she says, �but I�m not bathing in my own agony anymore.� To feel the pain of everything and then nothing is a lonesome contradiction. �Ricochet� is a record about being caught in this whirlpool, but Jordan�s music has never been so transcendent. The luminous opener, �Tractor Beam,� is driven by jangly guitars, but is ultimately about dissociation and �feeling othered while acknowledging that you�re spending a lot of your time and energy figuring out how to float away.� When it came time to record the songs bouncing around in her head, Jordan turned to a friend, Aron Kobayashi Ritch, the bassist and producer of the fuzzy indie rock band Momma. Jordan describes the process as refreshing, trusting, and comfortable. �I felt like an equal voice,� she says. �He was as interested in my decisions as I was in his.� These 11 songs are colored by the anxiety of watching life slip through your fingers, as well as the vulnerability of loving deeply rather than frenetically. Ultimately, �Ricochet� is an album about realizing�and accepting�that the world still turns no matter what is going on in your tiny life.

Djo, the musical project of Joe Keery, returns with his fourth studio album, The Crux Deluxe-an expansive, 12-track companion album to The Crux, written, recorded and produced by Keery and his collaborator Adam Thein. Following the massive success of his single "End of Beginning," which topped both the US and Global Spotify charts and amassed over 2 billion streams worldwide, the deluxe record is full of songs that were written at the same time as The Crux album sessions and recorded at Electric Lady Studios in NYC.

After a nearly five-decade (and counting) career as one of his generation�s defining rock bassists, Flea releases his first full-length solo album, Honora, March 27, 2026, on Nonesuch Records. Time and space have finally allowed him to return to his first musical loves: jazz and playing the trumpet. The song �Traffic Lights,� co-written with Thom Yorke and Josh Johnson, accompanies the album announcement.

For Honora, which takes its name from a beloved family member, Flea composed and arranged the music, and also plays trumpet and bass throughout, joined by an elite crew of modern jazz visionaries: album producer and saxophonist Josh Johnson, guitarist Jeff Parker, bassist Anna Butterss, and drummer Deantoni Parks. The record features vocals from Flea, as well as friends Thom Yorke and Nick Cave. Mauro Refosco (David Byrne, Atoms for Peace) and Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes), among others, also join the band.

The album comprises six original songs�including one co-written by Flea, Johnson, and Yorke�as well as interpretations of tunes by George Clinton and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell.

Though Flea dreamed of being like his heroes Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Clifford Brown, his path went a different direction. His close friend Hillel Slovak asked him to pick up the bass and join his rock band when he was sixteen, leading Flea into a decades-long career with the hugely successful Red Hot Chili Peppers.

As Flea neared his sixtieth birthday, he realized that if he did not pick up the trumpet again, he probably never would. So he resolved to practice every day for two years�in the midst of a stadium tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers, with a wife and newborn at home. At the end of those two years, he would make an album, regardless of where his knowledge or talents ended up.

Until Honora, Flea had never been scared of making music before. He worried that the all-star band he had assembled would think he was �a non-playing motherf*cker, charlatan, rock poseur or fan.� But, he says, �It turns out they were all the most genuinely supportive people, moving me deeply and daily with their generous spirits� Sitting in a room and playing the music with them made me feel like I was on drugs. I was buzzing, tripping and floating around the studio. I love them, they truly gave of themselves. I bow all the way down.�

Chet Baker is an icon and needs no introduction! He is currently one of the best known and best selling Jazz artist in the world. Chet Baker performs & sings SWIMMING by MOONLIGHT is a new Chet Baker album that draws from previously unreleased material recorded near the end of his life. From 1986-1987, Chet traveled and worked with the photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber on a project that would become their Oscar-nominated documentary �Let�s Get Lost�[1988]. During this period, Chet performed in Cannes, France and recorded sessions at Studio Davout in Paris and Sage and Sound Studio in Hollywood. Long rumored to exist, this will likely be the last new, unreleased Chet Baker music to ever be released. It has been in Bruce Weber's archive for nearly 40 years. Inspired for release by the film - which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year - SWIMMING by MOONLIGHT is a two-record soundtrack album curated by Bruce Weber and produced by Chet collaborator John Leftwich that compiles music, dialogue and live concert recordings.
